Who Should Toast at a Wedding?
At a wedding reception there will typically be a few toasts that occur throughout the night. The toasts traditionally come from the best man and maid of honor just before dinner. These speeches can refer to past memories, future dreams, and funny tales. The best man and maid of honor normally make the speeches because they are supposed to be the closet to the newlyweds. However, just about anyone can toast at a wedding reception.
Brothers, uncles, dads, sisters, and many others can toast at weddings these days. It is appropriate for these speeches to be made because these people know and are close to the newlyweds. As long as the speech stays within limits it is okay for a few speeches to be given from the people the bride and groom love.
